10 Days of Fun in Rock Hill
April 16-25
Rock Hill has 10 days of continuous fun planned in the 45th Annual Come-See-Me Festival scheduled for April 16-25, 2009. There are events and activities for everyone, young to old and young at heart. So come and enjoy the springtime festivities in Rock Hill. Highlights of the opening events include Music Mania made for kids, a classic car cruise, the movie American Graffiti on the big screen in downtown, a sock hop, Friday night Beach Bash with the music group Ocean Breeze, the annual parade on Saturday morning the 18th, Gourmet Gardens at Cherry Park on Sunday the 19th, Mayor's Frog Jump...and this is just the opening weekend. There is much more.

Beach Bash at City Hall Plaza 5:30-10:00PM (music, food, beverage vendors, come hang out, dance and party)
Saturday April 18th
Be Seen Green Parade Downtown Rock Hill 10:00AM start (parade to promote living and acting green, environmentally friendly)
Mayor's Frog Jump Cherry Park 10:30AM-1:30PM (BYOF-bring your own champion frog or borrow one there)
Gourmet Gardens Cherry Park 11:00AM-7:00PM (lunch and dinner with local restaurants, music and entertainment provided, kids welcome)
Sunday April 19th
Gourmet Gardens Cherry Park 12:00-7:00PM (once again lunch and dinner by local restrauteurs with entertainment and kids activities)
Monday-Thursday April 20th-23rd
Glencairn Garden Entertainment Glencairn Garden 12:00-1:30PM and 6:00-7:30PM (Relax in the park with a picnic meal and enjoy some good music)
Friday April 24th
Barbecue Competion Winthrop Lake 6:00-8:00PM (How much better does it get than a host of chef's preparing their best grill stuff)
Moonlight Jazz and Blues Winthrop Lake 6:00-10:00PM (Spread out a quilt, hang out under the stars, listen to jazz, have food and beverages)
Saturday April 25th
Barbecue Competition for Competitors at Winthrop Lake 10:00AM (food sales to public start at 3:00PM)
Tailgate Party Winthrop Lake 3:00-9:00PM (Let the fun begin..oh, wait we've been having fun for days)
Skydiving Exhibition Winthrop Lake 6:45PM (See the Carolina Skydiving team will thrill you with a spectacular dive, meet the team afterwards)
Fireworks Extravaganza Winthrop Lake 9:00PM (Fireworks show by Melrose Pyrotechnics. Awesome!, with synchronized music from WRHI AM 1340 and FM 94.3 Don't miss it.)

Sundaes with Glen and Mother Goose Glencairn Garden 3:00-5:00PM (PW's Ice Cream has a treat for you at this event. Come enjoy.)

Teddy Bear Tea Party Winthrop University, President's Garden 3:30-4:30PM (Bring your favorite teddy bear and donate your old one)

Everything Trucks First Baptist Church Parking Lot 10:00AM-1:00PM (Come and see an array of different trucks of all sizes and shapes)
Children's Art Activities Gettys Art Center 12:00-3:00PM (Various artists are here to put on demonstrations and hands on activities. Visit the shops.)
Kids' Carnival RMC Ministries 1820 Eden Terrace 4:00-7:00PM (Carnival for kids up to the 5th grade: games, prizes, puppet shows, jumpers)
